Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Testing

Sexually transmitted infection testing in Pasadena, TX: HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, hepatitis and herpes, confidential, with treatment. Walk in.

Most sexually transmitted infections cause no symptoms at first and spread without anyone knowing. A timely test protects your health and your partner's. At Clínica Hispana Corazón y Vida in Pasadena, tests are confidential, walk-in and in Spanish, and treatment starts at the same clinic.

Which tests do we run?

  • HIV (blood test).
  • Syphilis (blood test).
  • Gonorrhea and chlamydia (urine sample or swab).
  • Trichomonas and vaginosis (culture or swab).
  • Hepatitis B and C (blood test).
  • Herpes when there are active lesions.
  • Full panel for a routine check or a new partner.

When should I get tested?

  • After unprotected sex or with a new partner.
  • If you have discharge, burning when urinating, sores, warts or pelvic pain.
  • If your partner has a diagnosed infection.
  • Once a year if you have different partners, and in every pregnancy.
  • Before stopping condom use with a steady partner.

Keep the window period in mind: HIV can take two to six weeks to be detectable depending on the test, and syphilis about three to six weeks. If the exposure was recent, the test is repeated later.

What is the visit like?

  1. A private conversation about symptoms, exposure and partners; no judgment.
  2. Blood, urine or swab samples according to the tests indicated.
  3. A physical exam if there are lesions.
  4. Immediate treatment when symptoms are clear, and lab results within the turnaround we tell you when the sample is taken.

What if it is positive?

Gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis and trichomonas are cured with antibiotics; your partner must be treated at the same time so you do not reinfect each other. Herpes and HIV are controlled with medication; for HIV we refer you to a specialized care program in the Houston area. We explain how to talk about it with your partner and when to repeat the test.

Is it confidential?

Yes. Your results are handled under HIPAA privacy rules and are not shared with anyone without your authorization. You can pay in cash and come without a companion.

How do I prevent reinfection?

Use condoms with every new partner until both of you have been tested, complete the full treatment before having sex again, and have your partner treated at the same time. The vaccines for hepatitis B and HPV also prevent two of the most common infections; ask about them at the visit.

How much does it cost?

Each test and the full panel have a direct price, no insurance, in cash or by card. Confirm on WhatsApp at (346) 646-2974.
